Train mishap: Nitish too
believes it is sabotage

Railway Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday said sabotage could be a possible cause of Monday night's derailment of Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express in Aurangabad district of Bihar.

"Prima facie it appears to be a case of sabotage as at the time of the derailment the train was running at 130 km/ph...had there been any suspicion over the condition of the track, speed restrictions would have been imposed," Kumar told reporters at the accident site.

Asked if the tracks were tampered with, how come the engine and a couple of bogies did not derail, he said: "The engine and a couple of bogies passed through due to speed."

When it was pointed out to him that the Bihar police have ruled out any possibility of sabotage in the mishap, the minister said: "I do not want to go into who tells what."
