The Maoist Communist Centre and the People's War, both banned Naxalite outfits, have denied any involvement in the Rajdhani Express accident near Rafiganj in Aurangabad district, Bihar, in which 125 passengers were killed and over 250 injured.
The top brass of the railway ministry, including Union Railways Minister Nitish Kumar, had hinted at sabotage as the cause of the accident saying Rafiganj is a Naxalite hotbed.
The two outfits, in a statement, said their names were being 'dragged' in the accident with 'vested interest'.
Both the outfits said their fight is against 'anti-social and anti-national' forces and not 'against humanity'.
PW in its release said that its activists had extended a helping hand to the passengers of the ill-fated train at a time when there was 'no trace' of the Bihar government or railway officials at the accident site.
Criticising Kumar for floating the 'sabotage theory', the PW said, "No Left revolutionary group does politics on the dead bodies of common people."
