No emissaries, no halting of operations against Veerappan: Jayalalithaa

N Sathiya Moorthy in Chennai

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday said that the state government would neither halt operations of the Special Task Force against Veerappan, nor send any emissaries to negotiate the release of former Karnataka minister H Nagappa.

She also said that the state had no information on reports of the Karnataka government's plans to send an emissary.

Karnataka had earlier decided to halt the STF operations in areas under its jurisdiction in the Satyamangalam forest.
