N N Vohra, who the Centre appointed as its interlocutor for holding talks with various political parties in Jammu and Kashmir, is expected to call on Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani on Friday morning.
Vohra told rediff.com on phone from his residence in Gurgaon that he is not clear about the role he is expected to play and wants to clarify the same with Advani.
"After that, I will brief mediapersons," he said.
He also admitted to having a four hour long meeting with Advani some time last week before the deputy prime minister made the appointment about his appointment as interlocutor in the Rajya Sabha.
Vohra's appointment came as a surprise to many as his successor Planning Commission Deputy Chairman K C Pant, who had been appointed the Centre's interlocutor about two years back, was expected to continue with his assignment.
Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is believed to have had a role in effecting the change.
