The cloudburst that killed more than a hundred people in Sheelagarh Village, 35km from Kullu in Himachal Pradesh, on Wednesday has disrupted communication links and power supply to the area.
It has also washed away roads and damaged properties worth lakhs of rupees.
Relief and rescue operations have been hampered as district authorities are facing difficulties in establishing contact.
They are having to rely on wireless sets for communication because the disaster area is out of range of even mobile phones.
