The Bharatiya Janata Party has convened a two-day meeting of its chief ministers to devise strategies to make their governments popular and overcome the anti-incumbency factor, party president M Venkaiah Naidu said in Panaji, Goa, on Monday.

At the conclave, in Delhi beginning September 11, the performance of the governments will be discussed.

There will also be an exchange of views on better practices. The party will identify schemes that could enhance the image of the BJP governments, he said after the 'chintan baithak', in which top party leaders participated.

The "discrimination" by the United Progressive Alliance central government against BJP state governments will also be discussed, he said.
