One World Fellowship Scheme, UK

In conjunction with the British Council, the 8th One World Fellowship Scheme invites applications for its 2004 programme.

Who can benefit?

Five or six senior radio and television broadcasters from the Commonwealth will be invited to the UK for two-and-half weeks in November/December. Those selected will have their international travel and accommodation expenses taken care of for the duration of the programme, and given a daily living and travel allowance. Candidates must also obtain permission from their organisations to be absent during this period.

Dates to remember:

The 2004 Fellowship Scheme: November 15 - December 1.

Last date for applications: September 17.

Successful applicants will be informed by October 8.

Eligibility criteria:

*Senior (or upcoming) broadcasters with two or three years of substantial experience.
*Fluency in written and spoken English.
*The candidate should not have participated in a similar fellowship scheme before.

Candidates are advised to visit https://www.owbt.org/ to download the application form and return it to the local British Council office, or directly to the One World Broadcasting Trust.

No applications will be accepted after September 17.
