The Shiv Sena on Wednesday said it will oppose Valentine's Day celebrations this year too and protest against any 'obscene or vulgar display of emotions' on February 14.

"If people wish to observe [the day] at an individual level, we will not object. However, if there are any obscene, vulgar display of emotions or eve-teasing under the pretext of Valentine's Day celebrations, we shall object," Sena spokesman Subhash Desai said.

The Sena disrupted V Day celebrations last year and the year before, ransacked card shop and attacked restaurants hosting young lovers.

The party believes that V Day is a foreign concept and has an corrupting influence on the Indian culture.
