The Samajwadi Party on Tuesday night dubbed Rahul Gandhi as a 'kid' in the wake of his remarks speaking of a 'change' in the SP-led government in Uttar Pradesh.
"I can understand Rahul Gandhi's problem. He is a kid. He has to learn the tricks of politics," SP General Secretary Amar Singh told NDTV.
He reminded Congress that it would have failed to come to power at the Centre if the SP had not decimated the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh.
Asked whether Gandhi's statement would have any effect on the Congress-led coalition at the Centre, which the Samajwadi Party is supporting from outside, Singh said, "There is no problem."
He said he was not blaming Gandhi for making such statements as they were 'occupational hazards' of the Congress MP whose party feels that the SP was the 'grabber of the secular space which is their fiefdom'.
Addressing party workers in his Lok Sabha constituency Amethi, Gandhi attacked the coalition government in Uttar Pradesh and spoke of a 'change' in the government there.
