The Central Bureau of Investigation will soon take Gutka barons J M Joshi and Rasiklal Dhariwal, who are accused of having underworld links, to the Gujarat Directorate of Forensic Sciences at Gandhinagar for tests.

Dhariwal and Joshi are accused of providing Gutka packaging machines to Anees Ibrahim, brother of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

A Mumbai court had issued non-bailable warrants against Dhariwal and Joshi.

Joshi, the owner of Goa brand gutka, who has already been subjected to lie-detector test twice by the CBI, is likely to undergo one more polygraph test along with the brain mapping and brain finger printing tests, police sources in Ahmedabad told PTI on Wednesday.

The investigating agency has also informed the DFS it intended to conduct lie-detector test on Dhariwal, owner of the Manikchand brand gutka, the sources added.

The CBI questioned Dhariwal, who reached India from Dubai on April one, for the second consecutive day on Tuesday at New Delhi.

The CBI has registered a case against four persons, including Anees Ibrahim, for allegedly smuggling gutka manufacturing machinery to Karachi and for extortion.
