Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed on Friday said his government will rehabilitate about 1,500 Pandits in the Valley by June this year.
Over 700,000 Pandits were driven out of the Valley in the '90s by militant organisations. Most of them now live in refugee camps in Jammu and Delhi.

"Until the Pandits who left the state are rehabilitated, we cannot claim that normalcy has been restored," he told a meet-the-press organised by the Calicut Press Club Kozhikode.
Besides building houses for them, the government will also arrange to provide jobs to the Pandits on their return, the chief minister said.
He said the Pandits will be resettled in three or four places identified by the government.
