Expressing serious concern over security men killing three teenagers mistaking them as ultras, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Sunday said the incident was all the more unfortunate as the victims were children.
Ordering a probe into the firing incident in Kupwara, Sayeed asked security agencies to avoid such occurrences in future at any cost, an official spokesman told PTI.
Human life is very precious and utmost care and restraint should be exercised while dealing with similar situations to ensure that innocent people are not harmed, Sayeed said.
The chief minister conveyed his serious concern to the commander of the Srinagar-based 15 Corps over the incident.
