Nepal: Deuba sentenced to 2 years imprisonment

Former Nepalese prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was on Tuesday sentenced to two years in prison by the royal anti-graft commission after finding him guilty of corruption over awarding a road contract during his tenure, officials said.

A fine of $1.28 million was also imposed on the former prime minister, they said.

Former physical planning and construction minister Prakash Man Singh was also handed the same sentence, the officials said.
