Keeping cards close to his chest as to whether the new National Democratic Alliance government in Bihar would reopen corruption cases against Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, the state's would-be chief minister Nitish Kumar Tuesday said, "Today is a day to rejoice."

"Today is a day of victory. We will talk about these things later," he told reporters at his residence soon after the position became clear that NDA was poised for a landslide victory.

However, at a press conference at the Janata Dal(United) headquarters, organised to thank the party's supporters and well wishers, Kumar was again asked by mediapersons whether he would get the corruption cases against Lalu reopened.

"This is not a chief minister's press conference," Kumar quipped. But, at the same time, Kumar made it clear that he would not work with an "attitude of revenge".

Asked if he had any message for this friend-turned-foe, the senior JD(U) leader said, "I have no grouse against anybody. He is senior to me and like my elder brother."

In Patna, Lalu congratulated Nitish, saying he was like his younger brother. "I congratulate Nitish at a personal level. Nitish is a good man and like my younger brother, but I am not congratulating the Bharatiya Janata Party."
