A Special Investigating Team of the Delhi police on Tuesday searched a house and a boutique in north Goa, owned by socialite Bina Ramani. She is a key witness in the Jessica Lall murder case and accused of forgery and cheating.

Ramani, who was brought to Goa on Tuesday morning, accompanied the SIT personnel when searches were conducted in connection with the forgery case, sources said.

The search went on till afternoon when she was brought to the office of Goa Reserve Police.

"We do not know the details of the search. Basically they were looking out for some documents", Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ujwal Mishra, told PTI.

The sources disclosed that SIT wanted to recover the forged documents that Ramani had allegedly furnished for procuring licence for running a restaurant in south Delhi.

"Our sleuths were accompanying SIT during their raids. It is entirely SIT's operation," Mishra said refusing to divulge further details.
