Subhas Mahto was also wanted in connection with the firing on a police party near Tekri Pahar on March one, Ghatsila Deputy Superintendent of Police S P Burnwal said on Tuesday.
The police had made elaborate security arrangement at Baguria for 'Sendra Sabha' organised on Sunday by Nagarik Suraksha Samity, an organisation floated by the villagers under the tacit support of the police to launch an anti-extremist campaign in Ghatsila sub-division.
The 'Sendra Sabha' was organised at Baguria, where Sunil Mahto was gunned down alongwith his two bodyguards and a JMM worker while they were watching a football match on March 4 2006.
So far ten persons have been arrested in connection with the MP's killing, Burnwal said. CBI officials were also investigating Mahto's killing.
