On the instructions of the central government, intelligence agencies have chosen 11, South Avenue, as the camp office of the United Progressive Alliance-Left parties presidential nominee Pratibha Patil.
Patil will now campaign from this place for the next four weeks.
Giving her company will be her husband Devi Singh Shekhawat who receives important visitors who are later ushered in to a drawing room where Patil meets the visitors.
Patil talks cordially to the visitors who come to call on her. "You sing very well," she told a woman and then asked her two children what they were doing and what their areas of interest were. She had driven back from campaign meetings and needed rest and hence she decided to retire.
Congress leader Jayanathi Natarajan has been deputed to be with Patil and assist her campaign.
