Centre closely watching situation in Hyderabad

The Centre has put the Rapid Action Force stationed at Hyderabad at the Andhra Pradesh government's disposal.

Five persons were killed and four others, including two children, were injured when a bomb exploded in the historic Mecca mosque in the Charminar area of the old cityThe centre also rushed a forensic team to Hyderabad.

The home secretary also spoke to the Andhra Pradesh chief secretary on situation in Hyderabad.

The Centre is keeping a close watch on the situation in Hyderabad.

The Union home ministry is in constant touch with the state government officials, an MHA source said in New Delhi. The situation was being closely monitored.
