Telugu actor Chiranjeevi, who is all set to make his political debut within the next couple of weeks, is planning to throw a party for his colleagues from the Telugu film industry on Sunday, where he will reveal his political plans.

The event will be a sort of farewell party for Chiranjeevi, whose acting career may take a backseat once he enters politics.

Every prominent actor, actress and film personality from the industry has been invited to the party.

"Chiranjeevi wil formally announce his entry into politics at this event. He will invite the film fraternity to join his party and urge them to help him," said a source close to the mega star.

Even stars like Mohan Babu, who do not share cordial relation with Chiranjeevi and Rajasekhar, who has joined the Congress, have been invited.

Some members of the film industry like director Puri Jagannath, and actors Srikant and Brahmanandam have decided to join Chiranjeevi's party.

Meanwhile, speculations are rife about the name of the proposed party. The latest name doing the round is 'Jai Chiranjiva'. The sources said that the name was emerging as a favourite because it has the name of the film star and it also means 'blessing the people'.

"This is a good name as it will herald blessings to all the sections of the people," said a source close to the actor.

The sources add that Chiranjeevi is going to contest the next assembly elections from Narsapur in his native West Godavari district and Tirupati in Chittoor district.

"It is also possible that he will enter the political fray from another constituency in the Telangana region," they said.

Chiranjeevi will formally launch the party with a public meeting in the temple town of Tirupati between August 22 and 24. He will then kick off a three-month long state-wide tour to carry his political message to the people in every nook and corner of the state

The close associates and advisor of Chiranjeevi are busy giving a final shape to the party's policy, programmes and the election manifesto, which will focus on issues like corruption, rights of women and children and commercialisation of education.
