Upbeat over the outcome of the assembly elections, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will hit the campaign trail in Jammu and Kashmir on December 14.
Jammu and Kashmir pradesh Congress committee chief and Union water resources minister Saifuddin Soz said
in Jammu on Tuesday that the PM would address rallies in Srinagar and Jammu.
Singh would speak on the Congress' development works, policies and secularism and the reasons why people voted the party to power in Delhi, Rajasthan and Mizoram, Soz told media-persons in Jammu.
Soz said that Jammu and Kahsmir would be the next state where Congress will stage a come back as people have seen massive development works conducted by the Congress-led coalition government.
"Voters are now intelligent and will not be mislead by religion and religious slogans. They would vote on
development card and local issues," he said.
Four of the seven phases of the assembly elections in the state have been completed. The rest will be conducted on
December 13, 17 and 24. Counting of votes will be taken up on December 28.
