The Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday conducted a polygraph test on Rajesh Talwar, prime accused and father of the victim Aarushi, even as the probe agency was trying hard to find out the weapon used in the crime and the apparel of the dentist's compounder.
Talwar was brought from the Dasna jail, where he is presently lodged, and subjected to the test at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in Delhi to find out more information about the double murder. During the test, the agency asked Talwar several key questions which came up during interrogation of the dentist's compounder Krishna and several other people, sources said.
The CBI also questioned a few Uttar Pradesh police officials who had detained Krishna during the initial probe. "We are trying to ascertain the apparel in which Krishna was first picked up by the Noida police. We want those clothes for forensic examination. That is why we are asking the details from the Noida police," CBI Joint Director Arun Kumar told media-persons.
Kumar said the Khukri seized from Krishna's house has been sent for forensic examination to find out whether it was used in the murders. The CBI also questioned several other people, including Rajkumar, the domestic help of Anita and Praful Durrani --the family friends of the Talwars-- in connection with the case.
