Actor turned politician Chiranjeevi got a taste of the murkier side of politics on Tuesday, when workers of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti pelted eggs at the megastar at Narsampeta in Warangal district.

Smeared in egg yolk, Chiranjeevi was forced to make an unscheduled stop at a school to take a bath.

The TRS workers initially blocked Chiranjeevi's state-wide yatra, demanding a clear statement from the actor on the contentious Telangana issue.

When Chiranjeevi pointed out that he had already clarified his stand on the issue, some TRS workers started pelting eggs at  the actor, who was addressing the crowd from the roof of his 'rath'.

When the miscreants continued throwing eggs, the actor was taken inside the vehicle. The unpleasant incident left the star visibly jolted.
