Maharashtra Revenue Minister Narayan Rane on Thursday said that party high command has not fulfilled promises made to him after he joined Congress in 2005.

"I had trusted the Congress high command and one has to trust the organisation and its leadership. But I regret that the promises made to me were not fulfilled," Rane, who joined the grand old party after quitting Shiv Sena, said.

"I will open may cards at an appropriate time", he said asking reporters not to insist on further details.

However, he did not elaborate on what promises were made to him when he joined the Congress but said that the party gave him due recognition and honour.

Rane, who is nursing a grudge against Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, criticised the latter on the issue of ministry expansion and appointments to various state-run boards and corporations.

"The council of ministers is yet to be expanded. Now, with the Lok Sabha elections round the corner, for which model code of conduct would be enforced, the new incumbent may not get enough time and opportunity to work," he said.
