Mamata moves no-trust motion against Gujral

Congress MP Mamata Banerjee has given notice for a no-confidence motion against the Inder Kumar Gujral government.

Banerjee said she would press for her no-confidence motion when the Lok Sabha assembles on Monday.

In the normal case, a notice for a no-confidence motion gets priority. If there is a confidence motion on the government's part, however, the ruling alliance's move will get priority.

It is not yet known whether Banerjee's no-confidence motion has the official support of the Congress.
