Malayalam actor Murali died at a hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, family sources said. 55-year-old Murali, an acute diabetic, was hospitalised in a serious condition this evening. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
Murali had won the national award for best actor in 2002 for the film "Neythukaran". He was also the chairman of the Kerala Sangeeth Natak Academy. Murali acted in several Tamil films as well.
