The four-man army -- Mahadevan, Govindankutty, Appukkuttan and Thomaskutty -- in Siddique-Lal's In Harihar Nagar had entertained viewers with their funny escapades two decades ago, and the sequel early this year.

They will be seen together once again next year, indulging in funnier pranks, in In Ghost House Inn.

The shooting of the Malayalam film -- scripted and directed by Lal -- is currently on in Ooty.

Mukesh plays Mahadevan, the leader of the four. Siddique, usually known for his baddie roles, plays Govindankutty. Jagadeesh is Appukuttan, the dim-witted one in the gang. Ashokan, often playing serious characters, is Thomaskutty.

2 Harihar Nagar, which released this year, had set the cash registers ringing in a big way and that could be why Lal decided to go for another episode soon.

Ask Mukesh about this and he quips, "After 18 years of the first film, we all looked pretty fit. But I told Lal not expect us in such good shape if he was going for the next edition 18 years later."

The director duo Siddique and Lal are behind some of the finest Malayalam comedies like Ramji Rao Speaking, Godfather, Vietnam Colony, Hitler and Mannar Mathai Speaking. Then they parted ways. Siddique continued his stint as a director while Lal turned actor, producer and studio owner, finding success in every field.

In Ghost House Inn is being produced by PNV Associates and Lal Creations.

The cinematographer is Venu and the music director is Alex Paul.
