Big B wishes Thackeray speedy recovery

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has been advised complete bed rest following stomach pain, inquired about the health of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray who underwent angioplasty.

Bachchan has been in constant touch with Thackeray's son Uddhav to get updates about the Sena chief's health.

"Balasaheb is showing signs of improvement. I wish him good health," Bachchan wrote on his blog.

The Bollywood legend recalled Thackeray's cartoon after his near fatal accident in 1982, depicting that even though Yamraj, the God of death had come to visit him at Breach Candy hospital and the superstar was able to fight him off successfully.

"I am no cartoonist, nor a painter, but I wish similar sentiment to him. May he ever fight off the evil of Yamraj," Bachchan wrote. The actor said Thackeray has been in hospital almost every other month. "On all those occasions, I have been out of the country and unable to express my concern to him personally," he said.
