SC allows Boney Kapoor to release Wanted

The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor [ Images ] to release his film Wanted starring Salman Khan [ Images ] on September 18 after he deposited security of Rs two crore by September 16.

Kapoor had run into a legal dispute over an advance of Rs 10 crore he had taken from financer LMB Holdings, a B4U group company.

The Bombay High Court, while directing the producer to secure the amount, had restrained him from licensing the Salman Khan-starrer Wanted to third party till the amount was deposited.

A bench headed by Justice B N Agarwal allowed Kapoor to release the film after his counsel Mukul Rohtagi offered to deposit Rs 2 crore with the registry of the Bombay High Court as a security amount by September 16.
