Mallika's sexy serpentine shoot

Last updated on: April 15, 2010 16:31 IST

Hollywood's hot new Indian import Mallika Sherawat is all set for a photo shoot with photographer Ash Gupta, for her upcoming film Hisss, in which she plays a snake-woman.

The shoot has been inspired by legendary photographer Richard Avedon's famous shot of German-born US-based 1980's actress Nastassja Kinski -- Kinski was totally naked, save for an enormous boa constrictor!

According to a tabloid, a source close to Mallika has confirmed that there will be a shoot, and that -- like Kinski's -- it will involve a live snake.

While Nassja's was fully nude for her famed shoot, it's not known what Mallika will wear for hers.

But given the Bollywood beauty's penchant for jaw-dropping outfits in the past, we're expecting something tantalising.

The report also adds that photo stills from the reptilian shoot will be unveiled next month at the Cannes Film Festival, along with footage from the movie.

Eventually, images from the shoot will be used as art for Hisss posters and other marketing materials.
