Sanjay Dutt's office in Santa Cruz, a Mumbai suburb, was attached following a High Court order in keeping with an arbitration award by the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA) over a financial dispute between producer Shakeel Noorani and him.

Noorani, who claimed    2.03 crore from the actor, including    50 lakh paid to him as signing amount for an under-production film Jaan Ki Baazi, said the warrant to attach the property was handed

over to Dutt's office this afternoon.

IMPPA had passed the arbitration award in January.

"Yesterday, the warrant to attach his residence at Imperial Heights in Bandra was handed over. Dutt is in Mumbai but was not present when the warrants were handed over. At his residence, brother-in-law Owen Roncon was present while at the office today, his secretary was present," Noorani said.

IMPPA applied for execution of a decree recently and the court issued the warrant to Dutt last week, following which notices for attachment of properties were pasted on his properties.

According to Noorani's lawyers, the actor has an option to pay the money claimed by the producer within 30 days or else his properties (residence and office) would be auctioned.
