Can we celebrate Lennon's message on his birthday?

The Beatles did change the world. The Fab Four from Liverpool not only wrote the book on songwriting, but in their later years emerged as champions of a better, freer, more tolerant world.

And none symbolised that more than John Lennon, who would have been 70 years old on October 9, had he not been shot dead by a crazed fan.

Do you think in today's world of strife, Lennon's message of giving peace a chance and imagining a world free of borders is possible?

Let's pause to think about it, even as we remember the legend on his 70th birth anniversary.
