The 57th National Awards ceremony was held at the Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

Hosted by Javed Jaffrey and Divya Dutta, the event saw quite a few Bollywood personalities.

President Pratibha Patil gave away the awards.

Amitabh Bachchan, who was awarded the National Award for his brilliant work in Paa, arrived with his entire family -- wife Jaya, son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, daughter Shweta Nanda and son-in-law Nikhil.

Paa director K Balki also arrived, along with Arundhati Nag, who played Amitabh's grandmother in the film. Nag won the Best Supporting Actress for the film.

Other winners spotted were Rituparno Ghosh (who bagged the Best Director Award for his Bengali film Abhomaan) and Farooq Sheikh (who won the Best Supporting award for his work in Lahore).

The evening saw good performances by Shaan, who sang the song Behti Hawa, from the film 3 Idiots. Music composer Shantanu Moitra provided a good score.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Raju Hirani, Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra, Rahul Bose and Venkatesh were also spotted at the award ceremony.

Some of the jury members are yesteryear villain Ranjeet, television actor Rama Vij and theatre personality MS Sathyu.
