Raj KanwarNot many from the film industry turned up to pay their last respects to filmmaker Raj Kanwar at his funeral, but quite a few voiced their tributes. Here are some of them.

Bobby Deol: Working With Raj Kanwar in Baadal was a wonderful experience. He was always full of life, and so much fun to work with. I will always miss him.

Raj Babbar: I am in the middle of an election campaign in Uttar Pradesh. I heard the tragic news. I've worked with Raj Kanwar and he launched my son Aarya in Ab Ke Baras. It's really very sad. I pray that his family gets the strength to bear the loss.

Aarya Babbar: I'm very upset. I don't know what to say. The man who gave me my first break and taught me how to take my first baby steps in the world of cinema is no more. I'll miss him.

Amrita Rao: How can I forget my first director? I made my debut with Rajji's Ab Ke Baras. He was a tough taskmaster, a perfectionist and he demanded high-voltage performances from his actors. He made sure the actors delivered in the first take. What is happening to the entertainment industry is truly shocking. Giants are falling one after another."

Suneel Darshan: He directed one of his biggest hits Andaaz for my banner. What do you say about a filmmaker whose body of work spanned two decades? Raj made hits like Deewana, Laadla, Jeet, Judaai, Baadal and Andaaz. His demise is a loss for the entire film fraternity and for the audience.

Luv Sinha (Shatrughan Sinha's son, who was launched in Raj Kanwar's last film Sadiyaan): Very unexpected and tragic loss. He loved to entertain everyone with his anecdotes and jokes. My prayers are with his wife Anitaji and the family.
