Navin Tyagi, a Hindu Mahasabha leader from Uttar Pradesh, recently demanded that actresses who perform in item numbers wearing skimpy outfits be branded as prostitutes. Quite a few celebrities slammed him on Twitter for his remark.

Umrika goes to Sundance film festival

Independent filmmaker Prashant Nair's Umrika has been officially selected in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition section of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, which will take place between January 22 and February 1.

Producer Swati Shetty confirmed the news: 'Super thrilled that our first film from @SamosaStories, #Umrika has been selected in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at #sundance2015. Congrats to all on the team, super thrilled !!!!'

Amitabh Bachchan meets Gujarat Chief Minister
