Serious Cop. Funny Cop. And a Flower Girl.
That’s the cast in writer-turned-director Shagufta Rafique’s debut film entitled Nark: To Hell & Back.
"It’s a very intense and serious dark story about a cop (played by Ali Fazal) and a flower-seller (played by Richa Chadha). The material was found to be so dark that a lighter character (played by Ajaz Khan) was brought into the narrative," says a source.
Confirming this, Ajaz said, “I had approached Pooja Bhatt and Shagufta for another role. But they offered me a central role instead. I guess I am lucky. I play the lighter factor in the film. I can’t reveal much about my role but my character is the source of laughter and humour. It’s a tough role because I have to balance out the serious theme. I am glad Pooja and Shgufta found me capable of shouldering such a responsibility.”
Ajaz Khan was last seen in television shows like Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi.
