Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, who is currently shooting for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film Jazbaa, took to Twitter to say that he will not make the sequel to his 2002 hit film Kaante without Sanjay Dutt.
‘Ofcourse KAANTE 2 will happen, but not without SANJAY DUTT,’ Gupta tweeted.
Dutt has been convicted for illegal possession of weapons in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blast and is currently serving his sentence at Pune's Yerwada jail.
The actor has already served 22 months of his five-year jail term.

Mahesh Bhatt: Blame me for Mr X’s failure
When the reported blame game for the failure of Emraan Hashmi starrer Mr X commenced, producer Mahesh Bhatt stepped forward to take responsibility.
‘BLAME ME : It is content & content alone which is responsible for a films failure . Mr X bombeb at the box office because of my content !!’ Bhatt posted.
‘I will not pass the buck of the failure of Mr X to the Fox marketing team. We at Vishesh must take things in our stride & move on!’ he added.

Anushka Sharma, who celebrates her birthday May 1, shared a still from her upcoming film Bombay Velvet and tweeted: ‘Happy Jazz day to everyone in the spirit of Rosie and #BombayVelvetMusic & here's a picture shooting for one.’
The film is scheduled to release on May 15.
