Sridevi and Vijay on the Puli posterThe team of Sridevi's new film Puli released the first look of the film on her birthday. The poster shows the gorgeous actress looking every inch the royal princess she plays in the film.

"The film’s leading man Vijay tweeted the first look," says Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor. "Since then, Sri has been flooded with congratulatory messages from all her fans in the South."

Interestingly, Vijay has two actresses Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwane playing the romantic leads opposite him in Puli. But the film is being projected as a Vijay-Sridevi starrer.

"She returns to Tamil cinema after nearly 30 years," says Boney Kapoor. "There is understandably a lot of excitement about her return. But I am surprised at how supportive her fans are.”

Speaking of fans, Boney Kapoor describes himself as his wife’s biggest fan. "I am the lucky fan who got to marry her," he says.

To bring in her 51st birthday, Sridevi flew to Chennai with her husband and two daughters. Her sister Latha and her family joined them for the celebrations.

"Sri wanted to bring in her birthday in Chennai and be with her family," Boney explains. "In the evening we had a get-together for her close family and friends."

Sridevi adds: "I can’t imagine how my life can be any better for me. I feel blessed."
