Gul PanagBollywood supporters of Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party are jubilant following their spectacular win in the recently concluded Delhi elections.

“I’ll always be active in the party as a citizen. That’s my duty. I have always hoped that more people will raise their voices for a cause they believe in,” music composer Vishal Dadlani, one of the most fervent AAP advocates, said.

His relentless support to the party notwithstanding, Dadlani doesn't harbour any political aspirations.

“I have no interest in being a politician. I’m a musician, and that’s all I want to be,” he shared.

Actress Gul Panag, who is an active member of the AAP and had contested the Lok Sabha elections from Chandigarh (and lost to BJP's Kirron Kher), says, “I’ll continue to be as active in the party as I used to be. Why should the Delhi victory make any difference? I’ll continue my work in establishing the party organisation in Chandigarh.

“I’d be happy to play whatever role the party assigns to me.”

Actor-comedian Javed Jaffrey, who contested the Lok Sabha elections from Lucknow on an AAP ticket, says he will support the party in every way too.

Speaking of new Delhi Chief Minister designate Kejriwal,  he said, “We have to look at his track record. He’s an IIT graduate, then he became an income-tax office, after which he formed an organisation for social reforms.

“Then he  became a Right To Information activist. He went on to form the movement for the masses.”
