Mohanlal's son says no to acting

There are several reports about superstar Mohanlal’s son Pranav’s acting debut.

The latest one is about his role in a forthcoming film with the rather curious title, Inspector Dawood Ibrahim.

But the youngster has clarified that it is a hoax.

Pranav is currently an assistant director to Jeethu Joseph.

Priyadarshan’s new Malayalam film

Actor-writer Anoop Menon has put up a Facebook post announcing that he will team up with veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan.

Priyadarshan has been going through tough times -- he is going through a divorce from wife Lizy and his last Malayalam release, Aamayum Muyalum, did badly.

Incidentally, Anoop played an important role in the film, in which Jayasurya played the male lead.

‘Priyadarshan...we as a generation, were fed on his films...a master of the craft, the moments spent with him were replete with anecdotes and sheer movie magic...will be soon writing for the maverick...’ wrote Anoop.

Chirakodinja Kinavukal's first poster launched

First time-director Santosh Viswanath’s film Chirakodinja Kinavukal is based on a story by struggling writer named N P Ambujakshan in Azhakiya Ravanan, which came out two decades ago.

Sreenivasan played the role of the novelist.

The first poster of the film features Sreenivasan.

Kunchacko Boban and Rima Kallingal play the lead.
