Aamir Khan, who is leaving no stone unturned for his upcoming film Dangal, reportedly collapsed on the sets of film.

The talented actor has sustained a shoulder injury but he will soon resume shooting for Nitesh Tiwari's much-awaited venture.

The actor took to Twitter to inform his fans about his health.

'Hey guys its not such a major injury. My back muscle has gone into a spasm. A week of rest and I will be back on shoot,' he posted.

Aamir collapsed on the sets of Dangal while doing a long action sequence. Initially, the unit members thought Khan had pulled a muscle but the superstar was rushed to hospital when his pain didn't subside after half an hour of rest.

The PK actor is expected to be back in Mumbai along with his wife and son Azad. Doctors have asked Aamir to take complete bed rest for the next eight days.

Dangal, which is based on Indian wrestler Mahavir Phogat's life, is slated to release next December. Apart from Khan, the film also stars Sakshi Tanwar and Rajkummar Rao.
