Dharma Productions turns 35!

 

Yash Johar-founded Dharma Productions completed 35 years on October 8.

His son and chairman Karan Johar tweeted: 'It's #35YearsOfDharma today....my fathers goodwill and his blessings are my biggest strength....the company stands on his vision today.'

The company's first production was Raj Khosla's Dostana (1980) starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, and Zeenat Aman.

Karan shared a still from the film, above, and wrote: 'DOSTANA began the journey.... #35YearsOfDharma,' adding, 'I thank every member of the Dharma family for their love, loyalty and commitment to the company.' 

Meanwhile, CEO Apoorva Mehta tweeted: 'It's been a journey filled with beautiful memories & it's a milestone! Here's to #35yearsofDharma and many more.'

It's wrap up time for Baar Baar Dekho in Glasgow!

 

Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra recently finished shooting for the first schedule of debutant Nitya Mehra‘s Baar Baar Dekho in Scotland.

Sidharth posted a picture, above, and wrote: '#Glasgow na #BaarBaardekho wrap on schedule...super memories n now party!' 

The love story is scheduled to release in 2016.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil team heads to Vienna

 

After shooting in several cities across Europe, the cast and crew of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will soon start the next schedule in Vienna.

Anushka Sharma shared a picture, above, and tweeted: 'Travelling by train to Vienna from Innsbruck. As you may have noticed .... THRILLEDDDD!!' 

Directed by Karan Johar, the film also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor.

Rudhramadevi declared tax-free in Telangana

Filmmaker Gunasekhar's upcoming historical drama Rudhramadevi has been declared tax-free in Telangana.

Baahubali director SS Rajamouli congratulated the team and wrote: 'Just heard that #Rudhramadevi has been made tax free in Telangana. Fantastic news for Gunasekhar garu who has been swimming against the current for such a long time to bring this epic to film.

'Rudramadevi is a queen for all Telugu land. I think even the govt of AP should and will exempt this film from tax. All the best to everyone involved in Rudramadevi.'

While the Telugu and Hindi version release on October 9, the Tamil version will hit theatres on October 16.

On the sets of Dilwale

 

Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently shooting for Rohit Shetty's Dilwale in Hyderabad, shared a picture from the set, above, and tweeted: 'Film toh joh kamaal banayega woh toh banayega Rohit. Abhi usne joh photo lee hai woh dekh lo.' 

Also starring Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, the film will release on December 18.
