Shakti Kapoor's little girl and Jackie Shroff's little boy go all hardcore and stunt-y for a film named after an old Salman Khan hit but that seems, at first glance, to be based on Gareth Evans' contemporary classic actioner, The Raid.
Yep, let's let that sink in a bit: Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff are playing the leads in a The Raid remake directed by Sabbir Khan, the man who made Kambakkht Ishq.
Okay then.
Shroff is a boy, who likes to fight when someone fingers him, a line he recites just after talking about how his father bamboos him.
Besides his impressive moves, it is apparent he has also been trained in the art of turning any word into a verb.
Shot by Binod Pradhan, the film is visually interesting even from this limited and montage-filled a look, and Sudheer Babu looks like a suitably terrifying antagonist.

Shroff's stunt-work looks impressive, but the very idea of a The Raid remake, with fighters making their way up several heavily-armed floors, is more than a bit tedious.
The trailer comes with its own body count (which promises over a hundred corpses) but the only truly interesting thing about Baaghi right now is that Shraddha Kapoor, far from being a damsel in distress, gets to kick some butt.
Let's wait and see if the film turns out to kick butt -- or whether it'll add us critics to its body count.
