Shilpa Shetty's father Surendra Shetty succumbed to cardiac arrest at the Kokilaben Hospital in Andheri, a western suburb of Mumbai, on October 11.

His final rites were performed at the Pavan Hans crematorium in Juhu.

Shilpa's friends arrived to lend her support.

Shetty sisters -- Shilpa and Shamita -- at the funeral.

Shilpa's mother Sunanda Shetty was inconsolable.

Shilpa later posted on Instagram: 'Our HERO. Loving and kind in all his ways, Upright and just to the end of his days; Sincere and true, in his heart and mind, Beautiful memories, he left behind. A link in our family chain is broken, He has gone from our home But not from our hearts. We love u Daddy, you have been the best father, husband, friend and soul. May you Rest in Peace.'
