Actresses like Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Taapse Pannu and many more are starring in women-centric films, which look promising enough.

Shraddha Kapoor in Haseena - The Queen of Mumbai
This could be one of the most challenging roles of Shraddha Kapoor's career so far.
The film was supposed to star Sonakshi Sinha in the role of Haseena Parkar, based on Dawood Ibrahim's sister.
Shraddha has now stepped in, and the film has been given a dramatic edge by director Apoorva Lakhia.
Kangana Ranaut in Simran
Shahid director Hansal Mehta may have seen critical acclaim but he is yet to taste success commercially.
That may happen with Simran, starring Kangana Ranaut, who returns after top-lining Queen and Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
The actress has tasted failure in her other women-centric films like Revolver Rani and Rajjo but she does have a National Award-winning director to back her up.
Deepika Padukone in Padmavati
Padmavati might be right in the middle of a controversy but it is one of the biggest releases of the year.
Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali will direct Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in this extravaganza.
It all looks grand, let's wait for the film when it releases later this year.
Taapsee Pannu in Naam Shabana
Three Bollywood films. Three hits.
Taapsee Pannu has had a good strike rate in her Bollywood innings after after Chashme Baddoor, Baby and Pink.
One of her most awaited films this year is Naam Shabana, a prequel to Baby.
The film tells the tale of how Taapsee's character became an undercover agent.
Sonakshi Sinha in Noor
We saw Sonakshi Sinha, tough as nails, in Akira and Force 2.
Though audiences did not quite warm up to that, she will be seen as a regular Mumbai girl in Noor, a slice-of-life satire.
Sonakshi is expected to be her natural best since the set up doesn't require her to go over-the-top or turn filmi.
The film marks the return of Sunhil Sippy as a director, 17 years after interestingly-made Snip.
Sridevi in Mom
It has been more than four years since Sridevi wowed us in English Vinglish.
She will return with Mom, which marks the directorial debut of adman Ravi Udyawar.
Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui add to the cast.
Vidya Balan in Tumhari Sulu
After a series of heavy-duty roles, Vidya Balan will be seen in a relatively light-hearted avatar in Tumhari Sulu.
The film has her play a DJ named Sulochana, who is fondly known as Sulu.
Tumhari Sulu marks the feature film debut of adman Suresh Triveni, who has made a few short films in the past.
Kirti Kulhari in Main, Indu
Director Madhur Bhandarkar was so impressed after seeing Kirti Kulhari in Pink that he cast her in Main, Indu.
Set in the times of Emergency, the film -- which also features Neil Nitin Mukesh in a key role -- promises to be a hard-hitting affair.
Zaira Wasim in Secret Superstar
After Dangal, all eyes are on his young actress Zaira Wasim, who played Geeta Phogat in the film.
She will be seen in his next production Secret Superstar, where he makes a cameo as well.

Vidya Balan in Begum Jaan
Vidya Balan plays a madam in a brothel in Begum Jaan.
Produced by Mukesh Bhatt, the film is an official remake of the Bengali film Rajkahini, which fetched quite a few awards.
Set in 1947, it is directed by Srijit Mukherji and also stars Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Mishthi, Ila Arun and Flora Saini.
Asha Bhosle returns to playback singing with this one.
