There's a flashback tale: Phillauri has a love story like Mirzya-Saheba, with Diljit Dosanjh as the love of her life.
The film's title comes from Diljit's character called Phillauri, who is a singer and lyricist. He probably resides in a town called Phillaur near Jalandhar.
He bids goodbye to Anushka and is not seen again.
