Nawazuddin Siddiqui gets ready for Babumoshai Bandookbaaz.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui had some fun with his Babumoshai Bandookbaaz co-star Bidita Bag at its trailer launch in Mumbai, and told the media what exactly to expect from it.

Nawaz arrives, dressed up in his look from the film.

Bidita arrives in an rickshaw.

The film was to star Chitrangda Singh but the actress walked out due to differences with the film's director Kushan Nandy.

"I was waiting for an opportunity like this," Bidita says. "I wanted to work in a film where I could give an impressive performance. I am thankful to her (Chitrangda Singh) for leaving this role and I got it. Working with someone of Nawazuddin Siddiqui's calibre makes me proud."

Nawaz, who plays a contract killer in the film, has filmed his first kiss in Babumoshai Bandookbaaz.

"I was extremely nervous," he admits. "I have never done something like this earlier in my career. I was nervous, and yet I enjoyed the kissing scene. When you're doing a scene, one has to totally concentrate and not get distracted."

Kushan Nandy explains the real reason for Chitrangda's exit: "There were multiple issues with her. She had my script with her for one and a half years. The script was detailed, it had everything specified. Even then if someone has a problem, I can't force anyone.

"There was no issue of intimate scenes because she had already shot for that. She had issues with the script and wanted a few things changed. I'm very happy with the way my film has shaped up with Bidita," he adds.

Babumoshai Bandookbaaz also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin of Mardaani fame, Jatin Goswami, Shraddha Das, Anil George, Bhagwan Tiwari, Murli Sharma and Divya Dutta. It will release on August 25.
