As India completes 50 years as a Republic and takes to the road ahead, there are many unaccomplished tasks, forgotten promises and new visions. From a review of the Constitution to altered security concerns; from coalition politics to all pervasive corruption; from a majority deprived of its basic needs to a vibrant, spirited population, India is a nation in flux. An unique enitity chartering its destiny in a swiftly changing world order.

Led and misled by its politicians and bureaucrats -- who are blamed for most of its prevalent problems -- its people have suffered and revelled as they have lived and contributed to building up this nation. Ceaselessly hoping that India will achieve a satisfactory political, economic and social standing, that it will finally be able to feed, clothe, educate and look after its people. That this ancient country will provide a better tomorrow to generations ahead.
