As Independence Day approaches, we asked a few Bollywood stars what they thought about India's Big Day. Here's what they said:

We begin with Kalki Koechlin, who first wowed us with her turn as Chandramukhi in Anurag Kashyap's modern-day Dev D. But it certainly wasn't her first experience in India.

Kalki was born to French parents in an ashram in Pondicherry, as her parents are devotees of Sri Aurobindo. As she says, the Indian Independence Day is doubly important for her, as it falls on the same day as her spiritual leader Sri Aurobino's birthday.
