The Top Teen Celebs

Not all teenagers lead regular lives in schools or colleges. Some of them, like the ones mentioned here, are busy making pots of money, posing for glam photoshoots, jetsetting across the world and hobnobbing with some of the biggest names in entertainment.

We take a look at the top teen entrepreneurs, as compiled by Forbes.

Miley Cyrus, 16

Ask any teenager who this musician, actor and autobiographer is and they will say two words: Hannah Montana.

That's right, the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, is best known for her character in the Emmy-nominated Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, which was also made into a movie -- Hannah Montana: The Movie.

With a smoky voice to die for, Miley's two solo albums -- Meet Miley Cyrus and Breakout -- have sold a combined 4 million copies.

Besides singing and acting, Miley also released her autobiography, Miles to Go this year.

Hayden Panettiere, 19

She's popularly known for her role as the pretty cheerleader in the popular TV show Heroes. She's also starred in more than a dozen films including Bring It On: All Or Nothing and Raising Helen alongside Kate Hudson.

Jamie Lynn Spears, 18

Britney Spears' younger sister made her acting debut as the young Lucy in the 2002 film Crossroads (starring her elder sister). She also starred in the Nickelodeon TV show Zoey 101 and recorded several songs for its 2006 soundtrack.

But it was her private life which made her a household name when she sold her pregnancy story and future baby photographs (at the age of 16) to OK! Magazine for roughly $1 million.

Jonas Brothers (Kevin, 21, Joe, 19, Nick, 16)

Teenaged girls go gaga whenever their names are mentioned. The clean shaven trio can sing too.

Nick landed a record deal when he recorded a Christmas song in 2004. Kevin and Joe got involved writing their younger brother's debut album, and soon the Jonas Brothers were a trio act.

They also landed a guest spot on Disney's Hannah Montana in 2007. Their first feature film, Jonas Brothers -- The 3-D Concert Experience released recently.

Jordin Sparks, 19

Before she won the sixth season of American Idol in 2008, Jordin was already a model for plus sized women when she won a modelling contest.

She became the youngest person to win American Idol. Since winning the show, Jordin has teamed up with Avon, launched a clothing line and released an album which sold more than 1 million copies.

Kristen Stewart, 19

This pretty teen won the Best Female Performance award at MTV's Movie Awards recently for her role in the vampire love story Twilight.

Before that, Kristen was seen in the Panic Room, Into the Wild and Adventureland.

Dakota Fanning, 15

When it comes to acting, this intense teen is one of the best. Most of her films went on to become blockbusters like I Am Sam, The Cat in the Hat, War of the Worlds, Charlotte's Web, The Secret Life of Bees and Push.

Fanning also has made appearances on TV shows ER, Ally McBeal, CSI, Family Guy and Friends.

Taylor Swift, 19

The pretty blonde singer turned professional at 15 when she signed a record deal with RCA Records.

She caught the attention of executives at Big Machine Records after they saw her  performance at local venues in Nashville. She was signed up and later, her two albums have sold a combined 3 million plus copies.

Swift also tried her hand at acting with a small part in Hannah Montana: The Movie and a guest appearance on CSI.

Daniel Radcliffe, 19

He'll forever be known as the boy who played boy wizard Harry Potter.

At the age of 11, Radcliffe won the approval of billionaire author JK Rowling to play Harry Potter in the film adaptation of her book series. Since then, Radcliffe has starred in five Harry Potter flicks and is on board for three more.

Radcliffe, however wants to break out of his teen-aged wizard image. Besides the Potter series, his other film is December Boys, where he played an orphan.

He also starred in the London-based show Equus playing a stable boy who appears nude. He reprised the role in the 2008 Broadway version of the same show.

David Archuleta, 18

It was the battle if the Davids during season seven of American Idol. Though another David (Cook) won the title, Archuleta didn't do so badly for himself either.

Before American Idol, Archuleta was singing in competitions, where at the age of 12 he had captured the title of Junior Vocal Champion during a talent hunt.

Soon after Idol, Archuleta signed a record deal with Jive Records in 2008 and came out with his self-titled first album. It sold more than 500,000 copies.
