Actor Jayasurya is getting married, strictly on screen, that is for director Saji Surendran's Malayalam film Ivar Vivahitharayal. The film, all set to hit the theatres on June 12, has three heroines -- Bhama, Samvrutha Sunil and Navya Nair.

"Vivek (Jayasurya) and Kavya (Bhama) have contradicting concepts about their lives. Now, what if they get married? Such a situation is being handled in Ivar Vivahitharayal," smiles Saji Surendran, who makes his debut in the big screen after a successful career directing TV soaps.

Siddique and yesteryear heroine Rekha play Jayasurya's parents.

"They are successful lawyers and are not having a happy married life. To bring them together, Vivek decides to get married at an early age. His parents are shocked about their son's decision to get married, as he is too young and has just completed his MBA.

Vivek too didn't think much about the repercussions of his demand and he thought that he could fool around with his friends even after marriage. But things went wrong for the immature Vivek, when Kavya comes to his life. She is a radio jockey and  a girl with definite plans about her life.

"She finds the going tough right from the beginning," says Jayasurya about the storyline.

"We are narrating a serious story in a humorous way. Samvrutha Sunil's character, Treesa is among Vivek's closest friends. But there is a certain distnace that even friends should maintain at times.

"For example when they intrude into the private space of a couple. When they fail to maintain the distance, it starts affecting friendships," says the director.

Navya Nair is there in only one song which reveals Vivek's concept of an ideal wife. Poomukha vathilkkal sneham vidarthunna... from Priyadarsan's Rakkuyilin Ragasadassil, has been included in Ivar Vivahitharayal for the situation.

While the old song was composed by MG Radhakrishnan and sung by Dr K J Yesudas, the new version is being rendered by Vijay Yesudas. M Jayachandran is the music director.

The director feels happy and comfortable that his team from the TV serial days -- script writer Krishna Poojappura and cinematographer Anil Nair -- has come together to make Ivar Vivahitharayal.

The film is being produced under the banner of Kunjuveettil Creations.
